Sree Ananthapadmanabhaswamy Temple located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple has an amazing structure and has a 100 feet high 'gopuram', constructed in Dravidian style.

This temple in Kerala is famous for its beautiful Mural paintings and stone carvings . The Ananthapadmanabhaswamy Temple is one of the 108 temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu in India. On the seven storey ‘Gopuram’, which forms the temple tower, you will find amazing carvings of gods, goddesses, nymphs, sprites and demons.
Here in the sanctum sanctorum you will find the idol of Lord Vishnu, the presiding deity, in a reclining pose 'Ananthashayanam' on the coiled serpent 'Anantha'.
This temple was renovated in 1733 AD by Raja Marthanda Varma, the ruler of Travancore. This temple attracts thousands of Hindu pilgrims.

Here in the Ananthapadmanabhaswamy Temple in the months of October/November every year, Navarathri Festival of musical concerts is organized at the Navarathri Mandapam, which is besides main building of the temple. At this time only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple and you have to maintain and strict dress code here.
