The Baneshwar Mahadev temple remains open from 5.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m. during the fair. On this day in the morning, the Shiva Linga is bathed and saffron is applied to it .The fragrance of incense sticks wafts throughout. In the evening prayers are held and ash or bhabhut is applied to the Shiva Linga. The offerings include wheat flour, pulses, rice, jaggery, ghee, salt, chillies, coconut and cash as well.
The Bhils huddle round a bonfire and sing folk songs in their high pitched voices. Villagers also participate in the Baneshwar Fair ,Baneshwar .
The gaiety, traditional songs, folk dances, magic shows, animal shows and acrobatic feats all conjure up to create a magical experience. The merry-go-rounds and swings add more enjoyment to the Baneshwar Fair,Baneshwar .
