Overview
This four star property is a relatively new one being started on 21st December 2006. With its fresh, new interiors it offers a very delightful stay, personalized services and of course - a warm welcome. It is spread over 5.5 acres of land and will soon add more facilities on its premises. This hotel is owned by the Kondody Group.
Lobby
The hotel's interiors are typical to traditional Kerala home structures called Nalukettu with an open courtyard within the lobby and common space interiors and brown terracotta tiled flooring.
Traditional, instrumental music fills the space and rings through the air. With a warm welcome on entering you will be further enchanted by a simple yet elegant lobby. A wooden reception table sits on the left of the entrance and the seating space is occupied by comfortable, sink in sofas. A 24 hours business centre is attached to the lobby.
Rooms
A total of 20 rooms are housed within separate cottages and are categorised into 16 Deluxe rooms and 4 Luxury rooms. The Deluxe rooms come in double and twin bed categories while the Luxury rooms only offer double beds. All the rooms sport traditional, cool terracotta tiled flooring and the facilities common to all the rooms are cable television, a minibar, tea/coffee maker, 24 hours room service, 24 hours hot & cold running water and either a porch or balcony attached to the room. The rooms are furnished with smart wooden beds with thick, comfortable mattresses, bay windows with a wooden bench beside them, convenient bed side tables, a study table with a mirror in front of it and a seating space with 2 armchairs and centre table. Extra pillows and umbrellas are provided in the cupboards within the rooms. The rooms in the hotel are great for a 3 star category and provide luxuries you will find in a four star.
Services & Facilities
Added services offered by the hotel are for the basic convenience of the guests. They include car rental, housekeeping twice a day, parking space, laundry, a swimming pool, lawns with hammocks, children's play area, doctor on call, conferencing facilities, acceptance of credit cards and sight seeing.
Dining
The hotel's multi cuisine restaurant is a sheltered space with open sides held up by stone pillars and it sits pretty beside the poolside. It can accommodate 50 persons and is open for breakfast (7:30 am to 10:00 am), lunch (12:30 pm to 3:00 pm) and dinner (7:30 pm to 10:00 pm). A buffet is served depending on the occupancy and an a la carte menu is always available. There is also an open air tandoor which is only functional during dinner and this is right beside the poolside. Also, alcohol is not served on the property but the guests can buy their own and consume it within the privacy of their rooms. A meal at this restaurant is great as it provides a perfect ambience and light music fills the air with the chirping of the birds.
Banquets& Conferences
The hotel has a conference hall located on the 1st floor. It can accommodate a total of 80 persons and is an elongated, rectangular space with green striped curtains embellishing the windows. It is upholstered with quaint green chairs and provides the guests with conferencing facilities like audio visual equipment at an extra charge.
Leisure
The swimming pool and lawns in the hotel are an absolute delight with the juxtaposition of an azure blue and velvet green. The swimming pool is open to outsiders as well, but at an extra charge with the in house guests can enjoy its shining brilliance at no cost. It is open throughout the day till 10:00 pm and has a maximum depth of 5 feet. Beside the pool are the ladies and gents changing rooms with showers. The lawns have hammocks hanging between trees and you can enjoy an after lazing around under the sun.
The hotel a comfortable stay at great prices and is a favourite amongst groups, business travelers and families.
