Simple yet stylish, traditional yet contemporary, this haveli-turned-hotel is charming with its tasteful furnishing and Rajasthani decor which is not over the top. The staff is courteous and the food great. The location of Jaiwana Haveli is excellent too, right at the edge of the Pichola lake, in the centre of the city.
The property is an ideal choice if you are looking to get acquainted with traditional Rajasthan which is not tailor made for tourists, but something real. The lobby is beautiful with stained glass windows and art deco furniture.
Rooms
The 24 rooms are categorised as 14 Air Conditioned rooms and 10 Non Air Conditioned rooms. All the rooms are the same, just that 18 come with amazing views of the lake and the Aravalis. The rooms are painted immaculate white and the splashes of colour come from the Rajasthani curtains and cushions. The rooms are spic and span with quaint arched windows. Amenities include intercom, a shelf and some clothes hangers. The washrooms are tiled and gleaming. 24-hour hot and cold running water is available in all washrooms. Guests can avail room service on drinks only, all 24-hours.
Dining & Facilities
The rooftop restaurant serves multi cuisine fare, including Rajasthani delicacies. It has all glass windows with arches that have a lovely view of the lake, the Lake Palace and the surrounding scenery. There is an open air section here as well.
Other facilities include laundry service, currency exchange, a shopping arcade, car rental, doctor on call, massage and live classical and folk music on request.
Location
Jaiwana Haveli is located at Lal Ghat, in the centre of the city. The airport is 24 km from here, and the railway station and the bus stand 3 - 4 km away.
