The Kaziranga National Park, Assam is special because it claims to be the only National Park in Assam. The National Park is located in the central part of the state and it covers almost 430 square kilometers of area. Kaziranga is itself a very famous reserve for animals especially the Rhinoceroses. However, initially it was not so and people used to shoot in the jungles. In the year 1908 on 3rd January Kaziranga was officially considered as a forests reserve and shooting was banned here.
