The Marwar festival is celebrated in the month of Ashwin (Sept-Oct) in Jodhpur, for two days during the full moon of Sharad Poornima in the memory of heroes of Rajasthan.

Marwar festival boasts folk music centered on the dreamy lifestyle of Rajasthan's rulers. This festival is held to mark the music and dance of the Marwar region and offers a great opportunity to see the folk dancers carrying pots on their heads and singers who accumulate here and provide hours of energetic entertainment.

Other draws at the festival are the camel tattoo show and polo. The imposing Umaid Bhawan Palace, Mandore and Mehrangarh fort, which are symbols of might and courage, provide the perfect venue for the cultural burlesque a significant part of the festival. It is mainly celebrated in Jodhpur.
