Royal Orient Train Travel
The Royal Orient Train is a joint venture between the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat and the Indian Railways. The Royal Orient has thirteen deluxe coaches and saloons reminding you of the past glory of the Rajas and Maharajas. Air-conditioned train maintains a comfortable temperature of 15 degrees. Each coach is spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished with attached baths. The multi-cuisine restaurants are there to check your appetite along with the well-stocked bar- The Watering Hole. If you want to be alone in company of the books, we have the library as well. The itinerary of Royal Orient includes 7 Nights / 8 Days of a momentous journey in which you will get a chance to explore many beautiful cities, ancient monuments, national parks, wildlife sanctuaries and attractive temples.
Day 01: Wednesday - Delhi
Departure: 1500 Hrs.
Start your journey of a lifetime on the Royal Orient Train at Delhi Cantonment Railway Station in the evening at 1500 Hrs. On arrival, tea will be served to you.
Dinner will be served on the train. Overnight on board.
Day 02: Thursday - Chittorgarh
Arrival: 0630 Hrs. Departure: 0915 Hrs.
As soon as you arrive at Chittorgarh, you will be taken to the famous Chittorgarh Fort. When you are back from your visit on the train, breakfast will be served. The train will soon depart for Udaipur.
Chittorgarh - Udaipur
Arrival: 1215 Hrs. Departure: 1830 Hrs.
On arrival at Udaipur, lunch is spread for you in the hotel. After the lunch, your sightseeing tour of Udaipur begins. Visit City Palace, enjoy boating in the Lake Pichola, Shilpgram: Craft Village and Sahelion ki Badi.
Return back to the Royal Orient to depart for Junagarh. Dinner will be served on the train. Overnight on board.
Day 03: Friday - Junagarh
Arrival: 1400 Hrs. Departure: 1600 Hrs.
Breakfast and lunch will be served on board. On arrival at Junagarh, you will visit the3rd Century BC Rock Edict of Emperor Ashoka, Darbar Hall Museum and Mausoleum of Nawab Mahabat Khanji.
Return back to the train to proceed to Veraval.
Junagarh - Veraval
Arrival: 1800 Hrs. Departure: 0500 Hrs.
On arrival at Veraval, you will get to visit the Somnath Temple, the most renowned temple dedicated to Lord Shiva on the shores of the Arabian Sea. Return back to the train to proceed to Sasangir.
Dinner will be served on the train. Overnight on board.
Day 04 - Saturday - Sasangir
Arrival: 0630 Hrs. Departure: 1130 Hrs.
Enjoy a tasteful breakfast on the train before leaving for a trip to the Sasangir Lion Sanctuary to spot the famous Asiatic Lion.
Board the train to reach Delwada. Lunch will be served on board.
Sasangir - Delwada
Arrival: 1430 Hrs. Departure: 2005 Hrs.
On arrival at Delwada, visit the St. Paul's Church and Mandvi Beach in Diu. Board the train to depart for Palitana. Return back to the train to proceed to Palitana.
Dinner will be served on the train. Overnight on board.
Day 05: Sunday - Palitana
Arrival: 0740 Hrs. Departure: 1230 Hrs.
Breakfast will be served on board. On arrival at Palitana, visit the 863 Jain temples at Shatrunjaya Hills.
Return back to the train to proceed to Sarkhej. Lunch will be served on board.
Palitana - Sarkhej
Arrival: 1905 Hrs. Departure: By Bus
On arrival at Sarkhej, visit the Vishalla Village. Relish a scrumptious spread of dinner at the hotel.
Depart for Ahmedabad by bus. Overnight on bus.
Day: 06 - Monday - Ahmedabad
On arrival at Ahmedabad, enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Gandhi Ashram, Calico Museum of Textiles and Siddi Sayyad's Mosque.
Ahmedabad - Jaipur
Departure: 1405 Hrs.
Depart for Jaipur on train. Lunch will be served on board.
Dinner will be served on board. Overnight on board.
Day: 07: Tuesday - Jaipur
Arrival: 1115 Hrs. Departure: 2130 Hrs.
Breakfast will be served on board. Take an excursion to the Amber Fort. Enjoy an elephant ride around Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Jantar Mantar.
Return back to the train to proceed to Delhi. Dinner will be served on board. Overnight on board.
Day 08: Wednesday - Delhi
Arrival: 0740 Hrs.
Enjoy your breakfast on board. At Delhi Cantonment Railway Station, your 8 days journey comes to an end.
