Day 1: Arrive – Chennai (Madras)
You arrive at the Chennai International airport and you will be warmly welcomed by our representatives who will arrange for your transfer to hotel. We let you relax in the lavish comforts of the hotel so that you will be in true spirits when we start tomorrow.
Day 2 Chennai (Madras)
In the morning we start a sightseeing tour of Chennai covering Fort St. George – which was constructed in 1640 AD, and then we go to Kapaleeswar Temple of Lord Shiva. We will have a nice time at Marina Beach. Then we shall return to hotel .We leave the afternoon for you so that you can indulge in shopping for handicrafts sarees at Chennai. We shall spend the night at the hotel.
Day 3 Chennai (Madras) – Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
We will drive to the holy town of Mahabalipuram. We arrive by afternoon and check in the hotel. You are free to relax at beach for the rest of the afternoon .Night you spend at the hotel.
Day 4 Mahabalipuram
Today you spend half day in the city tour, you see the Mahishasurmardini caves – which are nine rock-cut temples. There are five uniquely created monolithic temples. We also visit the Shore Temple remnants which are part of World heritage and also one of the oldest temples in South India. The best time to view it is after sunset when it is well lit by floodlights.
Day 5 Mahabalipuram
Today we leave you to have your own sweet time at the exotic beach. Then you can retire to your hotel at night
Day 6 Mahabalipuram / Madras (Chennai) / Departure
Today you return back to drive to Chennai, so that you can revel in the enjoyable shopping and we arrange your transfer later to airport to take the flight to return back home.
