Overview
Meandering through the streets of Thekkady, you will come across a semi circular stone building, simple and beautiful with a huge parking area in front. The inside is a wonderful blend of stone walls, terracotta tiled floors, shining woodwork and a clean surrounding. The reception is on the left and opposite to that is the coffee shop. This is a bed and breakfast hotel, meaning they provide great atmosphere to crash in at night and pack you off for the day after a healthy wholesome breakfast. Beyond this main building lie the cottages, surrounded by luxuriant trees and a well manicured lawn.
Rooms
The hotel has 10 non air-conditioned Superior rooms which are beautifully furnished with all possible amenities imaginable. The rooms are huge and the Kerala style furniture of the room is so placed that it gives a spacious look to the room. Beds, satellite television, telephone, cupboards, luggage rack and small artifacts make the place look like home. The rooms on the ground floor are accompanied with a lawn, while the rooms on the top floor have an attached balcony on the rooftop. The bathroom is neat and non smelly and the shower area is partitioned from the rest of the bathroom. The bathroom amenities provided here include soap, shampoo, linen and hot and cold water supply round the clock.
Dining
The coffee shop in the main building is open for breakfast only and guests can choose a sumptuous meal from an assorted breakfast meal to plum cake, teal, coffee, croissant, juice etc. The open eating joint is very comfortable and welcoming.
Facilities
Being a small hotel, it aims to provide the best in all its spheres. However, there is room service, housekeeping service, laundry service, a library, car parking area and travel assistance provided readily by the hotel authorities.
