Government Museum: this museum hosts archaeological section which reflects all the major South Indian periods including Chola, Vijaynagara, Hoysala and Chalukya. It has a bronze gallery also which houses a collection of Chola Art. In its compound you will also see National Art Gallery.
St Andrews Church: in 1821, it was built. It boasts of blue dome bedecked with gold stars.
Kapaleeshwarar Temple: this temple is consecrated to lord Shiva. It features elegant gopurams, mandapams and a tank.
Little Mount Church: it is a small cave where St. Thomas was believed to have lived. You can enter this cave through Portuguese church built in 1551.
Chennai War Cemetery: built in 1952, it is a tribute to the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in the Second World War.
