The Golden Royal Elephant Throne, the Durbar Hall, the Kalyana Mantap and the Gallery are the main attractions here.Mysore Palace is a must visit in the tour of Mysore.

  -   The Jaganmohan Palace: An art gallery which depicts paintings of Raja Ravi Verma of Travenciore and the Russian Painter Svetoslav Roerich.Here you can also see the traditional Mysore Golden Leaf Style

 

 -   Chamundi Hill: Another place whdci you must visit when you travel to Mysore is the Chamundi Hills . Nestled on top of the hill is the 12th century temple of Chamundershwari. You may alight 1000 step to reach the temple if you want to trek the whole way up. Here there is the gigantic 4.8 meter tall monolith of Nandi the sacred vehicle of Lord Shiva Also nearby stands a gigantic statues of the demon Mahishasura.

  -   St. Philomena's Church
A beautiful Cathedral built in 1956 is one of the largest churches in India. It has Gothic architecture with beautiful stain glass windows and lofty towers. The illuminated church in the evening presents an amazing sight.

  -   Brindavan Gardens: This garden has an appearance straight from a fairy tale with illumination and musical fountains.

  -   Mysore Zoo: It ids regarded as one of the best zoos in India, famous for its collection of rare animals in lush green surroundings.

How To Reach:

Air: Bangalore Airport which is at the distance of 139 km is the nearest.

Rail: Well connected by trains from Bangalore ,the Shatabdi Express connects it to Chennai.

Road: The state highway that connects the Bangalore and Mysore is a pleasant journey through rustic country side. A bus or car ride from Bangalore takes approximately 3 hours.
