Overview

The Tree Top is located on the slopes of one of the beautiful hills of Thekkady. A steep winding uphill climb from the main road brings you to the spacious parking of the hotel. The open lobby and reception area and the restaurant are located in the main block, while the rooms are housed in cottages. The lobby gives way to a flight of steps, which take you to the restaurant, the only one of the hotel.

Rooms

Beautiful stone cottages over a verdant slope intersected with stone pathways house about 24 rooms; 12 Deluxe, 8 independent Cottages and 1 bungalow, which in turn has 4 Deluxe rooms. The Bungalow rooms are similar to the other Deluxe rooms, but have an independent dining area, a private sit out and lobby. These rooms are generally given to groups and large families. The Deluxe rooms are ok with basic amenities like bed, satellite television, telephone, sofa chairs, tables etc. There is an enclosed area in each room where the luggage rack and cupboards are placed. The bathroom is is clean and spacious with a shower area and basic amenities like soap, shampoo, linen and running hot and cold water supply. The Cottages are private lodgings with the same size, decor, services and facilities as the Deluxe room. The only additional feature in these rooms is a tea and coffee maker. The bathroom is also the exact copy of the deluxe washrooms.

Dining

Located next to the lobby is the multi cuisine restaurant big enough to accommodate 48 persons. The restaurant is open for breakfast (7:00 am- 10:00 am), lunch (1:00pm - 3:00 pm) and dinner (7:00 pm - 10:00 pm) and serves Chinese, Continental, north Indian and Keralan delicacies.

Facilities

The Conference hall here can accommodate 75 persons in theatre style and even has an elevated platform for performances during an informal meet. To make all formal and informal gatherings a success, the hotel also provides full secretarial services like fax, photocopy, projectors, screens etc. Besides this, the hotel also provides travel assistance, car rental facilities, and indoor games like carom, chess and table tennis. Outdoor facilities include badminton, treks, boating, visit to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary etc. Besides these, the hotel provides room, housekeeping and laundry services as well.
